What temp do you stop float tubing? Today in the Edmonton area is 6C and was thinking of taking the tube out. I normally stop at 10C, wondering what temp other float tubers stop

For me it depends on how warm I can keep my feet. +6 C doesn't seem too bad, as long as it isn't very windy. If I get too cold I'll just take semi-frequent breaks on shore to warm up, getting the feet out of the water and moving around a bit helps. I probably wouldn't enjoy the fishing if it was much colder than +5 C and I was float tubing.

Water is still not that cold yet.
Spring tubing with ice in the water keeps one awake

Was out the other day, water temp was 53F, no problem, will most likely fish till the end of the month when the season closes then may go float tubing for trout, in the past we fished on or about Nov 11th.

I bought the battery operated socks last year for ice fishin, they work even better in my waders on float tube.

Modified my F-Tube to sit higher so my knees aren't in the water.

Got them from Amazon (< $100.00) last winter in time for ice fishin, they sure made a difference during that week in Feb when it was -40C out.

I've been out on my F-Tube twice and have them set at the green or lowest heat level and my feet are as warm as toast.

Going back out fishin on Sylvan shortly ... my Bat-Socks are now part of my cold weather survival kit.

I bought these for my daughter's boyfriend's last year to use pipelining and ice fishing. They liked them so much that I wound up buying Lenz products for myself.

Be really careful washing them properly. ;)
