Cuba fishing out of Varadero

My buddy Alfredo unfortunately lost two days of pay recently when someone changed their mind about fish due to cost. First time it happened but a loss for him so I am posting the prices. Doesn’t look like it’s changed in a while.

However to date no one has expressed regret on the fishing experience.

Distance to the river it is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Distance to Salinas it would be 3 hours and 40 minutes.

I had one person do the drive to las Salinas and while the day was long he fulfilled a life long bucket list of catching a bonefish by landing 12.

Alfredo would recommend renting a room for the night in Playa Larga and fishing the next day then driving back to Varadero.

The taxi price to Salinas or the river is private drivers so the cost needs to be asked per trip.
