Is anyone knowledgeable on these axles? I bought a 1948 Bombardier B12. The differential is shot and the side gears have broken teeth. I roughly measured the ring gear at 8.75 inches. It is not a typical 8.75 Chrysler I don’t think. The third member has 11 mounting bolts. The axle shafts are ten spline.

From what I can tell this axle would be out of a W model Dodge of that era. Does anyone know where to get parts? I’d like to build a custom narrowed Ford nine inch but axle shafts seem to be scarce right now for a big end nine inch. It’s very narrow. Around 44 inches.

Get a hold of Alberta Drive Line in Edmonton. They have been able to help me with a lot of real odd ball stuff over the years. It is at least a good place to start.

Try Aldon Auto Salvage in Lamont to see if he has any '48's. Interesting what it would cost to have custom gears made, not sure if you can 3D print one, lol.
