Trail Cam Video

I switched my trail cams over to video this fall just to make things a little more entertaining. I was rewarded with an intimate capture of a Whitetail doe nursing her twin fawns. The times and dates shown are correct. It surprised me to see that the fawns, normally born in late May-early June in this part of the country, were still nursing in mid-November. It is equally surprising, for me anyway, that the doe is still lactating during the peak of the rut.

The camera was made by Uway (now Ridgetec). The Kobalt model I have I believe was specifically made for Canadian Tire. It has long been discontinued. It was not an expensive camera but I get a lot of use out of it.
