Wife had a set of Manitobahs made and she says they are great..highly recommended. She wanted just a simple wheat sheaf on them and they had issues creating her set to what she wanted.

So I went and had a look just out of curiosity. And ended up ordering a pair for my wife. She's always like the look of them. So I guess that's good... I

I let her pick them out.

If the mukluks you chose for your wife have leather bottoms get a low rubber shoe/boot to go over your wife's new mukluks too. The bottoms won't wear out as quick or get wet.

This is what she liked. Rubber or whatever sole.

I have bought my wife several pairs of these over the last couple of years. They are well made and hold up fairly well.
BUT....these are supposed to be designed by Natives craftsman and may well be....But they are all made in China or somewhere else overseas. Seemed to me that they really try to oversell the Native involvement in the making of these and I was kinda taken back a bit by where they really come from....just saying.

I bought my wife a set of seal mitts for her birthday from a fur designer in Saskatchewan. Website I believe is kingsfurs.com he does great work and has a few options. I’m not sure if he does foot wear.

Are they warm?

Yes they are way to warm for -10 if your moving only a light sport sock is needed. Sitting and skidooing toasty and they are waterproof!

Well, the wife got her Mukks today and she really likes them, so good enough. As mentioned, for all the noise they make about indigenous design and preserving heritage and keeping indigenous people in good jobs....made in Vietnam. But you really have to look hard to find that tag. It sure wasn't hiding behind the 'certificate of authenticity'. Yep. There was one of those.

Anyway, the wife likes them, and kids got to eat in Vietnam too.
