How about a used one for $2000.

Looks like a good deal.

We had one similar and liked it. Built well back then.

I had the same unit back in the day
That's in nice shape as long as the roof system is in good condition, our cable snapped setting up on the 1st day in Cypress hills, went into the Hat stayed in a motel for 2 days while the local RV dealer restrung the unit cost was almost as much as it was worth.

Check the cables!

I owned one like that for about 5 years, was great when the kids were small. fairly quick to set up. Fun unit for camping.

Had a very similar unit. Was great for the family. What I liked about it was it was easy to strap the 12ft aluminum to it.

Anybody done sub zero temps in a tent trailer? I feel like it would leak heat like a sieve.

As kids we were out in sub zero. Heater furnace on full it was fine. Canvas was fine.

My biggest concern would be cold and cracking of the clear plastic window coverings.

Not sure how much freezing and bending it can handle although one. Am be careful when cranking down.

Man for that price well worth it if in decent shape! Parents had a Coleman pop up back in the early 90s when we lived in Saskatchewan. I always wanted another one but as I live in griz country a lot of campgrounds have hard sided restrictions so it’s out. Tenting is fine but having a hard sided trailer with a furnace is great!

Back in the 80's I had a starcraft galaxy 2108 tent trailer, we did a pile of camping in it with the kids, tons of room but a real PITA when you had to pack it up wet.

I had it up hunting a couple times and it got down to -10 or so during the nights, the furnace kept up but just barely, you needed a good sleeping bag, mind you we hunted out of a sheep herders tent at -40 one year, had 2 x 15,000 BTU propane infrared heaters going full tilt all the time but the beer under my cot still froze, it was not fun at all :rolleye2:

Our first trailer was a Rockwood tent trailer. Had it 3 years. Was a nice step up from the tent on ground. I was always watching the cables too as they could be wound too tight...... like some people!!!!
I was always fixing something as it was a 1994 and I bought it 10 years old.
Yeah, in cold weather the little furnace cycled a lot!!!!
