If the answer is yes, where can I find lead (not steel) BB's in .177 bore? Thanks.

Gamo and H&N make .177 lead round ball, it looks like you might have to order it from the states.

Which brings me back to my question. BB guns run on large tolerances and a shotgun BB is only .03 larger than the nominal barrel diameter. Could you use them ?

I finally found a box of 12 ga filled with BB leads and bought them. Then emptied one and each pellet weighed 8 grains or 45% heavier than its steel counterpart which will definitely penetrate better.

Happily loaded a few in my BB pistol but it would not fire. I think the reason is that it is slightly larger in diameter.

I do know that they still make lead round BB balls for BB guns but everywhere I have looked they are out of stock.

Let me know if you guys find any.
