I have a short 12 gauge pump that I bring with me on a lot of outings mostly for the "you never know" scenario. What I was wondering was if anyone has had any success with a shotgun adapter for .22 in a pump action? I understand it will become a single shot at that point and am not concerned about that but have heard some issues with the extractor potentially breaking on the steel adapter insert. Apparently there are also some adapters that have cutouts for the extractor so it stays in when cycling the action and you just pull out the .22 casing and feed in another through the side. I also have a break action that these would obviously work better in but that's not the shotgun I have with me most if the time so I just wanted to see if anyone uses these in their pump.

Have used the adapters in drillings, combo guns and SxSs. Never in a pump. be interested too to hear if there is such a thing that works well.
