Hi Gents can anyone give me an approximation on the cost per round to reload 9mm? I was speaking to a fellow this weekend and he told me a cost that I can’t wrap my head around. I have not reloaded before but have been interested in it for awhile. I realize startup would be expensive buying a press and dies but more curious in after you are set up what the cost would be.

Check out this local to Alberta site. Much lower costs for ammo or reloading supplies. Been a few years since i have used them but very good to deal with.

I just re-upped my 9mm components this week. Costs have gone up considerably for powder and primers.

1000 - Campro (Ginex) Small pistol primers = $70
1000 - Campro 9mm 147gr projectiles = $125
1lb of Win231 = 50$ (7000gr/3.5 = 2000 rounds out of a pound = 25$

So $220 for 1000 rounds, I had no brass costs as I used brass from commercial ammo I previously bought. You could save 10-20$ by going with 115 or 124gr Campro projectiles.

Yea about 200-220 for me as well right now, using more expensive primers but the 115 gr and titegroup. If you can find new old stock primers at a small gun store at less then 70$ you’ll be down to 190

When I priced out components a couple of years ago, it was around $200/1000 but that was using jacketed bullets, rather than plated bullets.
