I am looking at a 141 acre piece of bush property for sale near Gordondale,in the Peace river area, near the BC-Alberta border .Is anybody familiar with that area as far as hunting is concerned-White tail, Elk or Moose?Any information is appreciated

Up until the winter kill a few years ago,the moose and mule deer hunting was great, with good elk hunting and some whitetails.Since the winter kill, moose and deer numbers are down dramatically, but elk numbers were not effected as much.

Ratherbe...if ya can afford it...buy it! A buddy has some land that way and it is terrific, to say the least. If you are serious about hunting, this will not disappoint you.

I live in Gordondale, which quarter are you looking at.The hunting was very good a couple years ago but we had a very bad winter in 2006.We have 11 quarters of land and you used to see 40-60 mule deer at any given time, and now if you see 6-8 deer you are lucky.I think the numbers will be back up but it will take time. There is still Elk up here but you have to hunt them.

I'd say that the numbers are closer to normal now,two years ago it was an infestation of deer.
Big game numbers are good
