when flyfishing is it tough to cast that dropper rig with a dry on top and a nymph on the bottom? ive never tried it and wondered if it works?

It's not really any harder to cast than using a single fly, but you'll probably get a few more tangles than you usually do. Yes, it works well in a lot of fishing situations.

Works really well as long as your nymph is lighter than the dry so it doesn't pull the dry underwater. Hence why it's typically called a hopper dropper with a big hopper/foam fly on the top.

I only learned the technique halfway in this year, it dramatically increased my catches.
