trying out my new fly rod on swan lake alberta

anyone know if the fish are jumping yet on swan lake alberta or are they still slow from the heat. Last i went was august 6 so it was still hot and full of algae. We have had alot of cold weather here in grande prairie. Has that affected it yet.

was there last weekend and the fishing was awesome. the fish were down realy deep so i was using sinking line. but towards twilight hours they were begining to rise a little more. the algae is still there but not as bad

i was there over the past weekend, fishing for me was a bit slow but the ones we did catch were decent size but they are still full of mites. Enjoyed my self muchly.

what were you using. Please dont say flies. I know thats the best way to catch them but isnt there any good lures that actually work out there lol.
