I don’t typically have enough info to do one of these reports, but this was my boys’ first overnight trip with my dad and uncle, and I got to join them 2/3 nights so I had a bit more info than usual.
We stayed at the A Frame cabin with Anchor Inn Resort. It’s a nice little campground, with most sites being seasonally owned. I think they keep 2 or 3 sites as a first-come-first-serve basis.
The launch is well maintained and makes it easy to launch a boat.

The fishing was hot all week. Between the two boats, it didn’t really matter what we threw at them. My oldest son is obsessed with casting, so he made my uncle park the boat and try some top water stuff for pike. They didn’t have a ton of luck, but had some good strikes that really kept my boy interested.

The youngest (almost 4) couldn’t keep a good grip on the fishing rod, so when we hooked up with a fish, he would run the reel while we held the rod. Of course, after we landed the fish, we had either a candy or a piece of licorice. Positive reinforcement, right?

On the last day, I hooked into the biggest one of the trip. Measured 75cm, just under 6lbs according to the scale.

Second biggest was also mine, at 63cm, and the youngest helped me with that one

Weather was hot, drinks were cold, and the boys learned a lot and had fun! This is what it is all about!
