Finally got out on the Famous Lake Simcoe for those legendary perch we see so often on Outdoor Canada and YouTube. Booked Taro Murato of 39 hours fame for this trip. Simcoe is one of his home waters. This was a chilly ice out trip in early April, but the morning frost and frozen hands did not take away from the fishing. These fish are absolute tanks and we must have caught at least 20 nearing 2 lbs. For about half the day we were site fishing these studs in about 12 feet of crystal clear water. You can reach Taro by text to book your own trip for next April. Text was the best way to reach Taro for quick bookings 647-883-8379. Mention #churchofperch for the Alberta angler special.

Some brutes for sure looks like a great trip. Mr Murato seems like he would be a heck of a fun guy to fish with.
