Has anyone fished PR and have a recent report? I think the limit is 1 spring each under 80 and 3 combined for a 4 salmon total. Am I correct on that ? Kids licenses are free but just have to buy the salmon tag for them ? Thanks in advance if you can answer any of these questions.

Area 20 is split into 7 sub areas. They don’t all have the same regulations for chinook. Get the fishing bc app and you see the specific regs for each sub area

Should be updated fishing reports on the Sportsfishing BC forum.

You're correct kids license is free except for salmon tag which cost $6 I think. Even if you dont want a salmon tag for the kids you must apply/print a license for them.

Thanks so far for the info. No idea about what areas. I think its 80cm or less for a spring, 4 salmon total with one spring. Not sure how the hos or if socks are around in Renfrew. Anyone been out ?

Definitely download the FishingBC app. Its super helpful to give up to date quick regulations. Port Renfrew itself appears to be in the area 20-2. If you head out to the coast then its 20-1 or 20-3 .....

You really need to research where you're going carefully. The app says area 20-1/20-2 are limit of 2 chinook/day with min size of 45cm. But area 20-3 is 1 chinook/day with a slot size of 45-80cm. Big difference's as soon as you cross those area borders.

I have a guide hired, I would think he will know the regs. But have to catch them before you can keep them so does anyone have a fishing report from there? I will download that app thanks.

Fished Port Renfrew for 3 days last summer. Made out like a bandit. 147 lbs of frozen fish came back home to Alberta. Just finished the last of it

I believe halibut depends on the size. 2 coho per day, possession limit of 4?per person. Can’t remember for sure the limits but we caught halibut, sea bass, salmon and cod. Crab every day also
