Just another laker day

Well the weather was really nice, overcast to keep the hot sun off us, slight breeze and lots of lakers that wanted to play.
Stopped counting, I know should keep a counter on board etc but when I loose interest we are in the high twenties.
Just another beauty day of all smeadiums and dinks, a few I would have used as bait but they all swam off to grow.

Got out yesterday afternoon to wet a line and check out a few more areas, nothing but continuous action, I used the deep six diver to get down to 60 fow and played in and around structure that dropped from 60 to 200 fow with the odd hump that came up to 90 fow, bait fish were piled up tight to the drop off and easy picking.
Two over so that was a bonus too!
Apex trolling lure in watermelon color is taking a beating but I call it character marks. [emoji38]

Great fishing as always! Nicely done!

Getting me excited as I should be up there again for labour day weekend. Will have my wife with me this time, I think she will enjoy the laker fishing. No weeds, giant trebles, big teeth or sharp spines to contend with, which is what I usually subject her to haha.

Yeah they are incredible fish to watch, especially in shallow depths or just below your ice tent in crystal clear ice, they turn on a dime and are very explosive.
We have been fortunate enough to see them in action a few times, it gets your blood pumping trying to entice the bite!

Yes, the deep six or pink lady is directly attached to the willow leaf/ford fender, works great.
