Is it possible to run a jet at the Tolman bridge northwest of drumheller? Wondering about depth and floaters.

What are you running for a boat? Little Explorer with an outboard you're probably Ok

It's shallow with long stretches of gravel bars. Watch out for big rocks just below the surface. I learned from experience.
I was at Morin bridge and fished a bit in that stretch between it and Tolman. Water is low, almost impossible to launch at Morin and load it back. Needed 4 people help just to shake it off the trailer:angry3:. Drumheller launch is much better if you planning to go with bigger jet boat. Once you are on the water it is no problem as long as you going fast. Few kayakers and floaters but overall all good. Was looking for deeper holes - surprised not much there to be found - 10ft was probably deepest spot I found.

Looks awesome there. Did you happen to see how the launch looked at tollman bridge ? Would love to launch my 19ft there and stay in the campground there for a couple nights.

Did not make it all the way to Tolman launch so not sure. Safest bet to launch is Drumheller I think.

Looks like a decent launch at the morrin bridge but the river is low so maybe it will be tough to launch there as well?

It barely goes above the knees in deepest spot near the launch and further you go into the river more shallow it gets. Water needs to be at least a 1-1.5 ft deeper for bigger boat to launch and load there without major issues.
Will try going from Drumheller to Morin tomorrow. Will post update how it goes.
So we went boating and fishing in Red Deer river yesterday. Wow, never seen water so clear and low there in last 15 years or so - 6-7 ft depth seeing bottom no problem... Launch in Drumheller still great, deep enough, no problem launching and loading. But as soon as you leave launch area and head upstream slalom between islands, gravel bars and rocks starts. Scraped one gravel bar near the bridge leaving Drumheller, otherwise it was doable but stressful. Went almost to Morin bridge, but since I knew that area already did not feel like going all the way there. Found 3-4 decent holes for fishing, caught few different suckers ( longnose, shorthead redhorse, white sucker) and one small sauger. We saw it sitting on the boating near the boat, dropped minnow in front of his face and he inhaled it readily:). So pretty! Surprisingly no goldeye and no walleye this time.
