Did you know a herring school can be 3 billion individuals? We saw a lot of schools.

I have some lingcod to eat also.

Nice they increased the halibut limit to 3 under 90 cm this year.

Very easy to catch 3 and get back to salmon fishing.

photobucket and other photo hosting sites have not been working for me :( Know a few members suggested a few other sites, was wondering what you used

Fished Renfrew late August bad day for big water. Managed 4 springs in the 13 to 15 pound range. Couldnt get out for Hali's. Nothing else around either.

Set up a Twitter account. Post your photos on it.

Then I right click over the photo while on Twitter. Select open in browser. Copy URL. Paste to here. Very simple for me.

AOF getting cloud space and opening up direct picture posting would likely greatly increase the number of outdoors photos that get posted.

Photobucket is useless. Use to be what I used but you need a paid account.

I use PostImage. It takes about 30 seconds to post a pic once you get used to it. AO makes you wait 30 seconds between posts and if I’m posting a bunch of pics on single posts I usually have the 10 second warning that I haven’t waited the full 30 seconds between posts. So, it’s fast with PostImage.

Here’s a basic tutorial to show you how to do it.

Ah, good ole key hole rock. I haven't seen that since 2015. Such a neat place to drift past and into the island.

First time fishing in the ocean (Prince Rupert), third week in July. We caught a few coho, pinks and halibut and a couple of black sea bass. Unfortunately chinook were still closed, as I reeled in a few nice ones. Would like to try fishing for ling cod/black cod next time.

Go with Stephen Hardie @ deep spring. Second to none for ling. Early season is great for ling and chinook.

A few fish I hammered from my kayak during my family vacation.

My first kayak chinook
A yelloweye I released back to the bottom right away
And tiger rockfish

Lots of others but these were my favourite

It's not the best angle but that looks like a Vermillion more than a Yelloweye.

yah its was a terrible photo lol. It had the raspy ridges on the forehead and dark edges on the fins so I assumed yellow eye. Better safe than sorry - there were plenty of browns to eat everyday.

Yah all rockfish. They are cool looking for sure. A lot of people are surprised we have fish colored like that here - to most a color like that is tropical.

Yah it was awesome. I actually couldnt land it in the yak - I had to beach myself on the nearest Island - trying to keep tension on the line for the nerve racking pedal to get there!
