Any one ever or knows of someone who has painted their vynyl(sp) boat floor?

Mine is in need of some TLC and all the scrubbing is not enough so am wondering if it would be safe to paint and if so what would be the brands I should be on the look out for?

THANKS

Never painted Vinyl for a boat but have done intertior panels for an old 359 Peterbilt. We couldn't find panels at all so went to the wreckers found the panels in Red and talked to a paint shop supply store in Red Deer and got the color (Blue) we wanted and painted them.
It was amazing how long they stood up and were still looking great when we sold the truck 10 plus years later.
It's been so long since we did it I couldn't tell you the name of the paint. It was an aerosol paint and worked really good.

Good Luck.

I don't know about your particular boat but a few years ago I decided to redo my kevlar kayak. When I talked to the paint specialist he pointed out that you have to have a paint that will flex otherwise it will crack (read expensive).

If you have an old boat and don't want to spare the expense you can cover your floor with that plastic that looks like corrugated cardboard. Not very expensive, comes in different colours and is easy to replace.
