Hello all.

Did a search and didn't find any current info for places around Edmonton.

I haven't fished in years, and my friend wanted to go (who's never been fishing) for a little day trip of fishing around the Edmonton area.

So does anyone know of a good place to shore fish around Edmonton that is a best bet for success? We aren't going to keep anything we catch.

Thinking hopefully there is a good place for pike. My success rate with trout is pretty dismal. :rolleye2: Unless you know of an excellent place for trout success. Or any other types of fish you can recommend is cool too.

Thanks!

You can talk to BBJ for some decent place on NSR.

BBJ? Who is that? I looked in the member's list and there is only a "BBJ's Sister". Is that who you are talking about?

BBJ=BigBadJohn.

Dawson Bridge is a good place on the NSR if you want to be close to downtown.

Doesn't have to be right in Edmonton. Anywhere within about a 1hr drive would be fine. Any suggestions?
