Obed Lake

Did anyone fish Obed this summer? I'm curious what's left after the partial winterkill last season. I'd like to fish it this winter, but I don't want to completely waste my time travelling down there.

Went last weekend caught and released 10 browns around 1.5 -2 pounds and limited out on 10-12 inch perch.
A couple weeks before that I only got a sucker but fishing buddy got 2 browns. One 2lbs and one 6lbs.
Up until these two trip the fishing buddy and I have always got skunked at Obed. So if we caught, it must be decent right now haha.

Interesting that you caught that 6lb'er. I've been hearing different stories on the state of the fishery. I believe there are still some decent browns in there. I'm just trying to decide if there are enough to make it worthwhile to fish it again this winter. Thanks for the info.

Humans aren't going to kill that lake. It's way too hard and most people don't have the patience to put the time in .
