Just an update on two Alberta boys now out in the out back of Yukon's wilds. The trip got off to a slow start with getting all ready to go tags and the such but the boys are now in the bush.
The first day was a camp day and a quick look around the area. Three moose were spotted the first evening. Day two was raining and still we managed to see three Grizzlies, two stone sheep "rams" and a 60inch plus moose which I had to restrain the boys from shooting because we will probably fine bigger. The boys were pleasantly surprised at the country access as we were in valley bottoms and then on top of mountains. The weather as I said was rainy and not as nice as it could be but we will see some really fine weather yet. The trail in was also an adventure as it takes five hours by ATV to get into the area. Lots of mud and beautiful scenery. A trip into the Vermilion Creek has 15 water crossings and the trail will test the best of the ATV's as it is an extremely tough trail to navigate. In fact two Polaris 6x6's are now broken down but they will be back in operation on Monday. The boys are still hunting as we are in the middle of some of the finest hunt areas in Yukon
