so Canadian tire had a clearout on the one only lurelogic timer dispenser with an estrous canister. I figured for $11 I couldn't go wrong. Or was it a total waste? Anyone use this product?

It'll cause them to sniff, which is what you want. Good luck

Not sure about the product you are referring to but if it is urine collected from game farmed animals, then stay far away from it.

If it's synthetic you should be good to go. Let us know how it works, if it does.

Just so I know, what's the problem with Game farm urine? CWD risk?

Not just CWD but brucellosis, leptospitosis, tuberculosis etc. Dangerous stuff.

Handling it? Or just putting it into the field? Or both?
For example: If I'm carefull handling it (or is it airborne) will it cause damage, hinder or put the environment and/or deer at risk

No matter how careful you are you are going to get the stuff on you or your clothing at some point. If you believe in the stuff, which I obviously don't, then use synthetic stuff. With so much at risk I can't fathom why anybody would want to cart around a bottle of deer or elk urine?

I dont know what kind of health specs the Canadian game farmers have to adhere to. But here in the States if ANY of those disease's are found within a deer herd the herd is quaranteend and probably destroyed. Any byproduct of of any kind, including urine, will never hit the stores from these herds. Your fears of anything being spread from a bottle of urine is completly unfounded and off base. Can you positively name one single incident where it has? The only reason I do not use urines from game farms is because of the feeds that are fed to the deer. I hunt wilderness so the deer I hunt will have no alfalfa, no corn in thier system. Therefore it is my belief, and its completely unfounded by anything scientific, that game farm urines will smell different from wilderness urine. Only proof I can give is that I can change the way my own urine smells, sometimes stronger then other times, and its color, by what I eat, how much I eat, and by what I drink and how much of it I have consumed. Only seems right to me that deer can have the same differences. I wouldnt worry about whats in the bottle. If you want to use it and its on the store shelf, you and it are safe. Rob I believe you have been a victim of internet hype....untill you can come up with the positive proof to substantiate your fears.
