It seems I'm not ready to let go of this season and got loaded up for moonshine Lake but talked myself out of going solo and without an ice spud and no intel. Anyone been to one of the small lakes? After today, the ice has to be melting fast!

Don't waste your time with Swan. It summer killed severely last summer. The other two will have tons of ice yet. If you're worried about access get on on the south shore which will be shaded and have the best ice.

Thanks fish! The parasites at swan had it low on my list anyway. After 10 or 12 nights of solo ice camping this year, I am not ready to move on.

Whew, thought it was just me. Went a month or so ago and one soft bite in just over three hours on the ice. Hopefully a fresh stocking can replenish that and get it on the mend.
