Feel free to add them if you like. I was on the river for about 4 hours today, shook the rust off and had a great time. Saw 6 mule deer, and had a coyote almost walk into me I guess it was thinking hard, I could have picked it off with a rock. The river is slowly rising, didnt see any surfacing sturgeon just a few goldeyes. I broke the new rod in with 6 good sized silver redhorse and a walleye. I will fish more this week but next time I will remember to take my lunch and stay longer :angry3:

Cool, never seen a redhorse. How big are the pictured ones? They look like a sizeable fish - so they put up any fight or is it like reeling in a boot?

these were likely females full of eggs, they put up an awesome fight, especially on gear too light to use where Im fishing :shark: most were about the same 4 or 5 pounds Ive seen one that was 13 though

Can't complain about opening day, got my PB lake sturgeon at 55 inches. One smaller 39 incher, small walleye, mooneye, few silver redhorse. People where catching sturgeon, walleye, saugers, goldeye, mooneye, redhorses left and right. And then this bull snake swam across the river, what an awesome beautiful animal. All in all great opening day!

looks like a great time! Rattlesnakes swim the river too, for some reason they seem to want to join people in their boats :bad_boys_20: hopefully the river keeps rising
