A friend of mine works at a thrift store and gets all kinds of cool stuff and today gave me 2 packs of lures I never saw before. One kind is normal just made in canmore at some shop but cool patterns but the second are these Vortex brand lures that have little batteries in them. There is 4 in the pack 3 of them have coulored flashing lights and the other makes sounds.

My question is are they legal to use? I looked in the book and online and I didnt find anything about them? Also if someone else has experience using em could tell me how much better/worse results they get ty.

Not really sure what you're talking about...any chance you can post pics, or a link to them?

I've seen crankbaits with flashing LED's at The Wal but I haven't been brave/stupid? enough to actually spend money on one. Seems like a gimmick to me, but without trying it myself I really can't say for sure.

Not sure about the legality of them either...sorry :o

All I can find in the regs is this...

It is unlawful to:

•Use lights to sportfish unless the light is attached to a hook or line used in angling.

I inquired when I was curious about lit bobbers.
