Well I went for a drive last sunday morning up to cold lake to see if I could find a moose to harvest with my bow. I got there just at daylight and found my friends land. It did not take long for me to see this guy walking along a long bush towards me. I ran 200 yards to get in front of him to try for a shot. That is way to far to run for an old fat guy like me.......lol I just got into position to where I thought he might come through and I could see him coming through the bush. I ranged him with my rangefinder at 49 yards. He kept coming through the bush until he came in front of me at 20 yards. He was trying to figure out what I was when he turned broadside to me. I let fly with my arrow but unfort he turned towards me at the same time my back tension released. I hit him in the shoulder quartering towards me. He took off on the run and I heard a crash about 40 yards up in the bush. I was sick to my stomach at the shot because I could see part of my arrow still sticking out of him. I gave him a couple hours to expire and went onto the trail. What I had heard was him crashing. My montec had blew right through the shoulder blade and made it into both lungs. He only went 40 yards and piled up. I know I got really lucky with the hit, sometimes we just dont have control over how the animals will react to the shot. I am glad my broadheads were sharp and it put him down quickly.

unfort my camera died and we could not get any front on shots he is 40 inches wide 11 points on one side and 10 on the other with only one missing a tip. my kids were very excited when I got home with him to skin him

Here you go Stinky hope this is what you were wanting us archers to do

 thanks man, think its time we team up on all this bowhunter/gunhunter and just go straight to 'hunters'...i'm ambidextrous on the whole thing so i guess i figure everyone else should be too, just trying to impose my will:D

maybe another 'bragging' section should be installed between the hunting and archery section so us super addicted types can go straight to all the success threads first?!;) (gun or bow)

nice work on the moose, double cool done with bow, i think i've missed a couple years of 'archery' kills as i haven't dipped in that section much...oops

would be nice and simple for a simple guy like me to just see them all in the exact same spot

p.s. i'm not sure about the arrow color choice there....hmmm:D

he turned as I released the arrow otherwise he would have been broadside

Not much penetration?? It went in over 20 inches how much more do you need?

Great bull! Looks like you had awesome performance on a shoulder shot like that. You cant substitute the benefits of getting close with anything in the world. Nice Job!!

the Pink Arrows are breast cancer arrows. A portion of the sales goes towards breast cancer. So I thought I would do my part with that and they are really easy to find after hitting an animal, and like most guys, it all about the breasts............lol

Thats a big bull you got!!!This sounds tupid but, I'm curious my cousin and I were wondering do your pink arrows have paint on them or something, because the blood on the moose almost looks pink.I've never seen that before!!!!

The pink arrows are flim dipped just like any of the camo stocks or bows are.
The pink frothy looking blood is from being hit in the lungs. If you bow hunt you will get to see this frothy pink looking blood quite regularly if you hit the lungs. Rifles dont seem to make the blood as frothy as when shot with an arrow for some reason I dont know why.

Thanks for the response,my cousin just started bow hunting this year, and we had eachother convinced that your arrow had some kind of paint solution on it that disolved in the blood so you could see the animals blood trail more visibley??? Like I said i've never seen blood that pink.I'll have to tell my cousin tommorow.:wave:Thanks again!
