Does anybody know the status of chip lake on hwy 16 west. It is a huge lake, the regs say keep any length pike. But I have never seen a boat on this lake, why is that?

i have been ice fishing chip lake for years, last year was slow. the year before
we had good success on jack and ling with a few jacks being over 6 lb's. in the summer it is hard to fish having only a few deep spots and lots of weeds.
if you fish the lobstick river on the west side of the lake down the leaman rd.
you will catch a few nice jacks in the summer, but it is private property unless your under the bridge. yes i know there is a grey area when fishing on a lake or river bank but this bank is the owners front yard and its a respect thing.

Last winter caught a few pike over 5 lbs and even one over 10 but it is very shallow. It is one of my favourite places to take the kid ice fishing because there is one spot were you can almost always catch a pile of hammer handles. I know of people who take jet boats out on the water before the weeds grow up in the spring.
