Being a first year boat owner and i'm trying to get my boat ready for the winter.

Who does shrink wrap and how much would that cost?

Any recommendation for storage places around Edmonton?

I don't post often, but read the forum regularly.

For what it's worth, I thought you'd want to know that Alberta Marine doesn't shrink wrap anymore because they said that dust gets underneath and scratches the paint.

That said, I should also mention that we've had the boat shrink wrapped in the past and never noticed any damage (but probably won't do it again).

$400 seems high. The place in Slave lake that does it is $199 under 20ft and $250 for over 20ft. We always seem to pay more for EVERYTHING up here.

I used a product call Dr Shrink last fall and did 3 of my boats (23-25 ft) with one roll of product and a few accessories for approx. $300.00 cost.
I am very happy with how it worked, and will be able to re-use the same wrap on each boat this fall. (Actually in the next few days)

I was quoted approx. 400 per boat to have them wrapped with the same product that I purchased and did myself.

We also had more snow than normal here on the island, and it all slid right off instead of sagging and compressing the wrap.

Good Luck,
