well, i finally bought a digital camera.................... i took a lot of poor quality pics of some nice trout in some nice places................. here they are.........

Pick up one of the many "how to digital photogrophy" books at the library and read your camera manual .... it helps a lot. Your pics aren't that bad to begin with anyway.

I've never bothered with a "how to" but reading the manual is a good idea...a lot of digital cameras, especially the higher end ones have a TON of options...some are important, others not so much. Knowing how to use your particular camera will make the most difference in the quality of your shots. From there it should be as simple as 'point and shoot' :)

If all else fails, it should probably have an "Auto" setting that should work well for most situations.

There's definitely nothing wrong with your pics, except #3 which looks like you may have been moving, though it still focused on your buddy :)

My camera (which is nothing fancy at all) has a setting that compensates for movement of the photographer...this is great for me since I don't have the steadiest camera hand :) I'm sure yours should have something similar.
