caught some channel cats, Bullheads, and some odds and ends on the remainder of my Holidays. Then I caught some "grief and pure boredom" on the drive home.:p

Went to Eagle Lake on Saturday, the algae bloom is in full force and the weeds are already to the surface over alot of the bays. We were out for about three and a half hours and didn't have a touch. Saw four other boats fishing and they had the same success.

On a side note there were two boats of teenagers who thought it would be fun to race around in the bay where everyone was trying to fish. About the only thing good about that was they were attemping to wakeboard but kept getting ripped off their feet by the weeds at surface to bad.

We went to Shaw's Point on Slave Lake caught 100's of Walleye all day long (what a great fishery) Can't find the big Pike or Pearch yet?? anyone know where they are?
Shaw's Point was sooooooo full they were camping in the bare fields not very nice with the ****ty weather a few tents looked like they got flooded out.
They had a very good fireworks display Sun night.
I will post some pics later.

I pulled a couple of Brownies out of Swan lake that were pretty decent size. 24 inches was the biggest...and oh so tasty over the open campfire. But that was about it. Spent most of the weekend in a drunken stupor :ashamed:

Emerald in Yoho was awesome, too many Brookies though so they're kinda small now.

Well Kinnard lake was hot as usual,, put quite a few Walleye in the boat over 54cm,, and had a couple good feeds of humpy Perch as well..
Beaver lake as usuall produced its 1 keeper for every 30 small Walleye but when you put 40 - 60 in the boat for the night you get you're feed...

So what can be said,,, things are up to par up north....

Went to the wife's parents for the Long Weekend. They have a couple small lakes near their place that had been empty for 5 - 6 years due to drought. Well the Last 3 years they've had plenty of water flowing in them so we wanted to find out if they had fish. Plenty of people have seen fish in the streams that empty into them, but we didn't catch any. Saw a few on the Sonar and got a few depth readings to pass along to the neighbours but all in all just a buncha fun... But no fish.
