I suppose with a name like Tung Stud Nymph the beads used are Tungsten. I'd suggest you check out just how much tungsten beads are to purchase these days. They are about $9 for 10 beads. So given that, plus the cost of the other ingredients including the hooks and the fact that your not going to spend the time tying the flies yourself. I think the $2.50 is more than reasonable.

If you want them cheaper then I'd do them for you without the tungsten bead and just using a brass bead for $2.00 each.

Hey troutfisher, dont buy them from anyone. Tie them. An offer to tie for 2$ha! Tungston beads are 5$ for 10. A simple nymph like that should take you about 5 minutes.

Thanks all. I have a source for tungsten beads at .50 ea, but I do not have the time (or skill) to tie. If someone were to tie them, it wouldn't have to be a tungsten bead, i just like the pattern as its proven well for me
