Used to fish it alot and I never saw a perch in there......or walleye for that matter.
Can't recall seeing any in the gut of pike we kept either....
Gotta be in there but tho:(

Yes... I got fooled by that as well. The road in NW Calgary has nothing to do with the reservoir, which is located to the SE of the city. I have never been there myself so I can't give you an exact location. Maybe Wayne can help with that one.

Its actually 2 reservoirs, 6 miles east of Rolling Hills. south of Brooks. :) one is really shallow, the north one is deeper, I know there are pike in it, supposed to be perch walleye and whites in it too. Keeper walleyes :) havent fished it much tho, its usually too windy for a canoe.

12 Mile Coulee:

Never fished the south lake.
Even the north is a pretty shallow lake, deepest I've seen is probably 15ft with most of it in the 7ft range.

I tried canoeing the south one this spring, could only get half the paddle in the water. I dont think they were filling it up yet tho. The north one was pretty weedy the one time I was on it this summer. should be perfect for perch tho, maybe someone from Calgary could bring all their problem perch and dump them in there!
