Interested in purchasing a 1 day float trip down the Bow as a birthday present. Anyone have any recommendations on a guide? What is the best time of year to go?

Ask at FishTales. They have some very good guides. Best time to go is in the summer months. But they do take people even in the shoulder season's.

Would second Fish Tales. Aaron and Terry are both awesome guides there.

For me, I would book a trip the first or second week of July. Streamers and big dry flies is as good as it gets as far as I'm concerned. You might have to deal with high water but that's not a bad thing in the least. If you haven't done a lot of flyfishing and would rather stare at an indicator all day, then almost any time is good. For scenery and size/condition of fish, last two weeks of Sept is tough to beat.

Jay Baxter or Ben Rudmick out of Fish Tails are top notch

Want a real character, and a hell of a knowledgeable guy - give Barry a run. ;)
