We have had some cold nights lately, has the ice even started on pine or gull yet? I know by this time last year the ice on pine stretched out a ways. Seems alot warmer this year.

It has been a little to warm. this is my first year ice fishing and i cant wait to get out. i have not cast a line since sept. Blasted out to Fort Mac on Tuesaday and saw alot of frozen over ponds. Here is hoping that weather comes south.

Havent been out to any lakes yet but the pond out here has 4 or 5 inches on it. The NSR has some pretty good iceflow in it and in the calmer side pools there is about 2 -4 inches. So far its good clear ice this year. Shouldnt be too long before the hard water season start.:)

Trout ponds in the foothills have been reported to have 4-5" of ice on by some of my chaps, but still deer for me so I can't confirm.

Trout pond here is solid 3-5 inches. may cut some holes this weekend! Smaller lakes are also covered. But we are -8 to -12 every night so that is helping a lot.
