I ordered the 6 by 8 tent sears has on sale right now, set it up, packed it up and back it goes tomorrow, dont waste your time or money, its a piece of crap, plus would take at least 3 people to set it up in any sort of wind.

I do not know what the complaint is??? The sears one works great!! You only need about 60 pounds of lumber to keep it planted in the wind plus your kit. and the kids love tieing it to the sled when the wind is up to drag them across the ice. Plus it is nice and bright inside so you do not have to worry about looking down the hole and dreaming about all the fish who swim by your hook with out biting!

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, the poles break real easy too!

I ended up sewing strapping onto the sides of mine, then used tie downs and home-made ice anchors to secure the thing to the ice. The ice anchors were pretty sweet though; just drill a hole in the ice 8" down, drop the anchor down, and it will hold against any sort of Southern Alberta wind storm!

Hey Chris. Not sure what happened. I buy all my ice huts at
Sears, the Bargain Store, the Dollar store, and Fields and have
not had any problems.

got my pop up from Cabelas yesterday, the sears ice tent isnt even in the same class as this one. Way easy to set up, comes with 8 deluxe ice anchors and ropes, and even fits back in the duffelbag when you pack it up with no fuss. for the difference in money, this one wins big time over sears. Floor space in this 2 man one is 5 foot by 5 foot, so you could fit 3 if you had to , lots of room for 2 and gear. IM in the process of designing and building a folding insulated wooden floor for this one . :evilgrin:Now wheres the damn ice??????????

isnt that sears one a piece of crap? I figured maybe 4 people and a 26 of rum and it might have been easy to set up, but probably not :lol::lol: like one of the other comments, it might have been fun to hitch to a sled and do some wind surfing or something, but other than that its worthless!!!!
