Got myself a nice little Whitetail doe at the weekend and due to the small amount of meat to grind I was thinking of making some burgers instead of making sausage meat..!!
Anyone have any nice, simple burger recipes..???

amounts vary on your tastes and how much meat you have..i just eyeball it...
fine minced onions
salt/pepper
1 egg
garlic powder
paprika
french onion soup mix

I find deer meat a little too dry for burgers. Maybe go 50/50 with pork or beef to moisten it up. We grind at least 50 lbs a year for chile, hamburger soup, sloppy joes, goulash etc..........

Agree. Have to add some pork trim but 60/40 works fine where the 60 % is deer.

As said before it can be on the lean side.I always grind mine with a bit of pork in it so I don't have to mix it later.

I usually grab a few pounds of cheap, fatty bacon and grind it up in the burger. Also a bit of chilli powder, sage, and fine chopped onion and garlic.
