Hi, I'm a geocacher and discovered this wonderful area near Birch Cove...can any one tell me if the area is private, or is there crown land in this area...I have hidden a geocache near N.53.57.079 W. 114.22.330
I wouls not want to trespass on private land, but there are no signs posted, so wonder if this is privateor public land...

Geocachers must not know about the county/municipal map system. Hopefully this fellow can put out the word on some of the geocache websites and they will pick up on it.

I usually work in UTM co-ords. Easier for me.

When ya put in a well its usually in UTM. And off shot points.

I know that area intimately but I don't have a map of the area to confirm the exact location that you are refering to. The land south of Birch Cove, from the lake to the highway is private property. It is actually part of Willowbend Resort, a recreational trailer park. If you email me I can give you the owner's name and phone number. North of Birch Cove is the Senior's Village. From the road off the highway into the Senior's Village, north to the highway that heads east along the north end of the lake is public land. It's actually a series of cross country ski trails that are used by atv's in the summer. I think that that is the best place for you to be without trespassing or bothering anyone out that way. I just looked at your attachment. That's the back road that's blocked off going into Willowbend. Yes, it's private property and is for the tenants use of their quads.
