Water main break...jack hammering out the basement to try and pull a new main line through...

Fortunately the main broke outside...but on our city of the city's responsibility.

Well we got lucky. They found the main water line under the foundation and successfully pulled the old line out and the new line in. If I can download the photos...the holes in the copper section was amazing...you could fit a pencil in. We now have A LOT more water coming out of the tub taps.

Now for the bill...gotta write a check...

At least it should now be good for the next 50 years...

Sigh...

what was the cause of the break?

Ive seen some really shady construction in Calgary.

The only breaks I've ever seen have all been due to the lines freezing, but it hasn't been nearly cold enough for that yet. :confused:
