decided to head out for a shoot on Saturday. Haven't hunted on the weekend for a long time, but school duty leaves me with little choice. Well doing my sneaky stalk thing, I counted no less than 8 vehicles driving the pasture, from squeaky springs to one that must have ripped his muffler off. No problem though, I still had ample opportunity, but passed on them all.
The thing I wondered about though where some of the volleys I heard during the morning. One was seven shots, that sounded from the same rifle, another was 6 shots that where from two rifles together, and several 3 shot groups.
Not making any claims, but I'm kind of thinking that after the second shot, one's awareness of backdrop falls in priority due to wanting a hit.
Think I'll retreat to weekdays.
