Recently had the priviledge of sharing some 'first experiences' with some very fine young people:

Taught my teenage nephew how to drive a dirt-bike and explore the forestry roads.

Taught my teenage God-daughter how to shoot a variety of firearms at the range:

And just last weekend, after a couple of sessions at the range, guided a good friends teenager to his very first deer where he made a great shot:

This group of teenagers renewed my faith in the next generation!

A teen is only as good as the adult who takes time to mentor them. Good on ya for giving 3 kids a leg up :)

Excellent work, Thumper. Life can be a busy thing and even just finding the time to be in the field ourselves is enough of a challenge sometimes. However, making the effort to take a youngster or two out always seems to be worth it........I had that honor last night. Hat's off to you for taking the time to help keep our outdoor heritage alive and vibrant. Congrats to the young man on a fine buck.:)
