Has anyone been to these lakes recently? Just wondering how thick the ice is. Was thinking of going this weekend!

I haven't looked at the regs yet but Gull usually dont open until the 12th or somewhere around there and Pigeon is such a warm lake the ice probably wont be safe

Gull is closed, check your regs. I doubt a big lake like pigeon is frozen enough yet.

Gull Lake
Apr. 1 to May 14 and Nov. 1 to Dec. 10 – CLOSED
May 15 to Oct. 31 and Dec. 11 to Mar. 31 – Walleye limit 0; Pike
limit 3 over 63 cm; Perch limit 5; Lake Whitefish limit 5; Burbot limit 3.

I haven't been out but with the forecast we have coming at us, I'd say by the end of next week there should be atleast 6" out there. If you head out be cautious and let us know what the ice conditions are like.

My dad has a house at Gull and tells me that there's a foot of snow so ice may be a little slow out there this year.

Little less than that at gull.. ranges from 8-13 inches depending on where you are (more ice on the south end). Be cautious.

Fishing is on the slow side there too.
