Hi all.
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to get to brodick lake. I know its by smokey lake. but am having troubles locating it. I have also heard that there might be a gate to open to get access. any info would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks

turn is i think 4 miles east from smoky lake take a left to shemlack, you have to go to shemlack (spelling) lake first which is a stocked trout lake and the from the picnic area there is a cattle gate that is open( make sure you close it) follow the trail maybe 2k and you come to the back side of brodick lake.

So Brodick is spelt Brodyk, that makes finding info a little easier. Thanks for the help. The fishing regs have it spelt wrong.

Be very careful on Brodyk there are springs all over the lake! A snowmobile trail groomer went through the ice 2 years ago

I haven't been to Brodrick in years. It used to be good for perch but I got zip the last few times I went and quit going. Is this lake producing well again? Also, which side do you boys usually fish? Like I said, haven't been in years, but I would advise the guy looking for the lake to make sure he has 4x

Good luck

I always fish on the west side just as you come around the point and it really opens up. Also we go to the northern part between the reeds and the beaver lodge. Dont worry we stay well away from it. But with this year I think the only safe way to get anywhere on that lake is by sled, what with all the flood water.
