Looking for some ideas on fishing around Calgary on Wednesday.
Thinking of Clear but wondering if anyone has fished trout lakes west.
Any tips or first hand knowledge would be great...

All of the ponds west in the foothills ES1 and ES2 have plenty of ice, has been for weeks already. I'm unsure of places like clear in the praririe, because of all the winds we'd been having.

I would think that with the wind there should'nt be much snow on the ice and the ice should be gettin thicker by the minute.
I was thinking of maybe Spray Lake as well but have never fished it and would'nt have a clue where to fish and what to use......

Any good trout lakes in the Waiporous area?

Pretty sure Spray isn't froze yet, last week it was open still, because of the wind.

Every trout lake listed in the regs in ES1 and ES2 will have good enough ice to try. Take your pick!

Allen bill or Maclean pond are not bad early season lakes...
