Frabill Ice Shelter

I noticed the Frabill 2-3 man ice shelter is on sale at WSS this week for $200.
Is this a good deal? Is this a good shelter? I was going to buy the Clam at BPS the other day but the equivalent size shelter was sold out, it was on for $180. At the Fishing Hole the Frabill is $250.

Thoses tents are crap, there to narrow you want the tents that flip up or down. The 3-man frabill that flip up is about $630 I think and the 2-man is around $500 if you can find 1. Bass pro is alomost out of tents they told me there not going to bring in any more this year because they cant get any more. im sure by xmas they wont have a tent in the store, that not very good this early in the season. I picked up the Clam Base Camp from BPS when they still had some. I love it. More standing room in the corners than the Frabill one but very similar. I was going to get the Frabill until I found the bigger Base Camp for less money!

I have the frabill2-3 man pop up and it works well with 2 guys and gear. I looked at the sled type but didn't like the fact that the sled was small and there is not much room for any other gear.Why pay3 to 4 hundred extra bucks for two little seats and a small sled?

i got the frabill two man trekker the sliegh one for xmas last year bought the cover and tow hitch for quad skidoo love it all kinds of room fits auger and all my gear + beer lol

I just picked up a 2 man from WSS for $189,I believe its called the Frontier.
Only used it once but there is plenty of room for 2(1 hole apiece),sets up pretty easy and folds away to nothing.Comes with lots of ice anchors too.
For the price its OK,how long it will last????

I was at the Fishing Holes yesterday new price reduction, i bought the frontier for 169. and of course some hooks too, glad to see some barbless hooks on the shelves. i always buy them if they are availible,don't care about price.

Ok I think I will try it. From the replies I think the best thing to do is get it and see how I like it. If I don't like it, I can upgrade to something else!
