I guess gonna take the family out this morning to Capt. Eyre, see how it goes. No shack so good thing it nice out and hope the fishing was as good as it was last year!

So home and had some luck! Fished for 2 hours, I only caught 2, both were 13 inches, used a fly. My wife was using a gypsy jig and soon as she dropper it down they were after it but not getting the hook. She gave the rod to one of the kids and went to get a drink from the truck and she i have a fish, by the time she got there reeled it up and the line broke off at the hole, looked like it bit thru the line, and she said it was huge, so maybe there are some really nice ones in there. 12 to 13 inches of ice, 2 or 3 shcaks out there and others are also driving on. Try to get a pic of the lake on later, dont have any of the fish tho.

Too bad about the monster. I didn't make it deer tags got in the way.

naw, kyra(the daughter) had one on and told mommy but she didnt think she was serious until she finally came back to hold her rod and there was one on there, got it up into the hole and the line broke, she said it was a really big one and it did bite the line so i guess it had to of really swallowed that hook, cuz it wasnt all that small of one! jypsy jig if you know what that is.

be careful, you are going to have a couple little fishing junkies on your hands :D
days like that they will never forget, sure beats them sitting in front of a tv

ya thats what i need, the whole family wanting to go, then it sure is easier for me to get out, just need a BIG shack I guess!lol

worked for me, taught the wife how to fish, even tho she usually outfishes me now, but get more fishing time if I drag her along :evilgrin:
