I was wondering how many members will be out on the ice on boxing day?

I might hit lower K, or some other lake for some trout.

Where are you guys headed?

North of Edmonton somewhere - not sure yet. Looking like very mild weather up this way (on Saturday anyway) - should be nice.

Medicine Hat to pick up a new heater, tired of getting high on kerosene fumes  But Sunday look out, plan on fishing every day next week. Maybe a different lake each day, unless I find a new hotspot. Anyone coming down this way say hello.

Going fishing tommorrow, probably bruce lake. Lots of scuds(shrimps) in there, supprised noone has caught anything other than pike there. Perch? Whitefish? The pike just cruise around like whales opening there mouth and swimming through swarms of shrimps. Not that they won't take smelts or a herring. :)

How is upper K, I have never fished it. I am still pretty new to the province.
Might be worth it to try something new. I want to try out my new hut and heater.

How is access with a sled style hut?

Upper K, cant beat the scenery! Fishing is fishing, some good days some bad:rolleye2: Cutts, Bulls, and the odd Bow. Crystal clear lake, no bait allowed! Some days really windy others t-shirt and sunburn (yes while ice-fishing). Access; low water levels in winter make it easy for getting onto the lake but, getting off is a bit of an up hill climb. Lake can be accessed by two different parking lots, both at Dams.

Brrrr ... just got to Pine Lake a couple of hours ago, -22. But it's quiet and peaceful :) It was light when we got here, not much more snow on the lake compared to last week, but we're hoping the ice is thicker.

We'll be here probably until Monday, please stop by to say hi ... two old farts with a couple of quads and maybe a couple of dogs
