Thinking of taking the kids to CarsonLk this week. Anybody been there lately? The fishing there is usually pretty good. Are you able to drive onto the ice with a truck? Any info would be great...thanks.

Its slow fishing...I'm there right now.....but 19" of I've and about 8 of snow...easy driving.

Fished on Thursday. Bite was hot from 8am - 1 pm. Fish in 12ft of water.

That lake is a fun lake to take children too, they stock so many fish in there I would find it hard to believe that the lake is slow. A worm on a #12 hook will catch lots of fish. They all seem to be 12 to 14 inches long. The fishing in late april or early may is when the bigger ones are close to shore. Good Luck !
