walleye brine for smoking

I would like to smoke some walleye, but need a brine for them. I have a small little chief smoker, If anyone has any experience smoking them in this style smoker, please let me know. ( I might even share)..:)

Well I dont have a brine to sharebut typically 4 to 1 sugar to salt spice it up as you like pepper onion powder garlic powder maple syrup.

I have never tried smoking walleye and would actually leave smoking to less flavorful less firm fish like pike and whitefish.

I would suggest leaving the skin on and brining for a minimum of 24 hours.

Trick is to rinse and let your fish dry on racks for an additional 4 hours prior to smoking.
