Where to go?

Planning a birthday fishing trip on Thursday...prefer trout...Like Spray and Kanny but at forecasted -20 and no hut or tent thinking of warmer options. That leaves Chain ( can have the truck close) or Winchell ( truck relatively close). Also bringing fire pot. Not much difference in fish size between the two, any Winchell reports available? Or any other trout lake suggestions within an hour or two of Calgary would be appreciated...pm if preferred...thanks in advance...sk

Don't waste time on winchell now, the bite has likely turned off until spring.

We went to Winchell a few days ago just as it was getting dark and wife had quite a few bites but she couldn't get any on. There were a few other holes already drilled but I didn't see any blood on the ice so I dunno if anyone has been catching anything. But at least there's still some fish left in there, not sure how long they will last though.
